Really enjoy coming here early and enjoying the sun rise. It has awesome amenities around, including hot pools overlooking the ocean and a playground, if you got kids. Amazingly long sandy beach to walk, walk your dog, run or just laze on.

Having visited Christchurch multiple times over the years im glad I had a chance this time to visit New Brighton Beach. Its a stunning place, with its own unique pier that is 300m long. The whole area reminded me of the beaches found in Sydney! If you have time try and pop down, you won't be disappointed!

Would be lovely on a fine sunny day, instead it was cool, windy, still had a hardy few who were watching the waves, sea birds and the surfers. It is good there is no fishing from 10am on Sundays and the walk area has been cleared of any mess, a good time to go, maybe check weather first

We always enjoy the beach at Brighton, as simple as the pier is ... there's something magical about walking down and watching the water splash against the pier .... its usually clean and safe for all ages and mobility ..with seats to rest on

Lively place and i loved coming out to visit this site when in Christchurch. I used to take a walk along the long sandy beach or walk the length of the Pier with gutsy winds blowing but thats to be expected along any coastline. One can even park up and watch the spectacular sunset, life is beautiful indeed!

Nice place to visit day or night. Lots of benches to eat your fish and chips but be careful of cheeky seagulls. A bit windy and cold sometimes so it’s best to have your jacket with you for sure. Lot of people also do fishing here. Lots of parking area here but they close it at night so you might need to park on the road if you visit late.

Stunning evening and chill vibes with the local fishermen and women. The waves had such a calming effect on my mood
