My partner, Justine entered Nova Lodge in July 2016 and left in February 2017. She was an alcoholic, the 8 months she spent there was the longest period of sobriety Justine had experienced for years. Sadly the treatment was a failure, she was severely inebriated the day she left which is how I found her when I returned home from work. She died a few months later on 6th May 2017 at age 45, causes were alcohol related. This is where my life caved in. Justine was supposed to return to the Lodge if she continued to drink, despite my communication with Justine's support workers the system failed to respond in time. I reported the failure days after she left the lodge and this is where she was supposed to have been returned with the aide of a court acquired Section 8 under the drug and alcohol addiction act. However by the time I managed to get any action Justine passed away 2 weeks before she was scheduled to return to the lodge. If the system had responded when it was supposed to, Justine would not have died.

My friend who had a alcohol issue spent about 6 months at Nova Trust and he was a changed man - he really improved with his treatment and being involved with some meaningful work . Highly recommend .
Had a friend just complete the program and he loved the experience. The new management team seems much better than the one that was in charge when I was there in 2016. That team was useless
Was at Nova for about 8 months in 2011. I found it a safe, friendly place to be. Structured activity throughout the day. Regular counseling and group meetings. Recommended.
Life changing place - great to see they have turned it around and developed a program. If you want to work on your recovery they will work with you. Sad to see some of the comments here though, i guess not everyone wants to focus on their recovery...
