I had headed into town to try find a wetsuit thinking shops like Amazon, Ripcurl etc. would have some of the products they display on the websites. Nope not a single wetsuit could I find for my upcoming holiday in the cold southern lakes area. After hours of fruitless searching I turned to my phone and Ferrymead looked like my salvation, the traffic was so annoying and when I found this shop I thought I just don't care anymore: it is this shop or bust I am so fed up right now! I am so happy that none of the "main stream" shops had wetsuits that day as my 3/3mm BZ Steamer was just excellent. When the kind lady told me it was on special at 499 I cringed inside as my budget was supposed to be 300, but I was so fed up I just said fine that's great (lie). However, this wetsuit was worth every cent as it kept me so warm in 14/15 degree water that I never got cold even after 2.5 hours free diving/swimming and I could go in again after warming up for 30min in the sunshine. They really live up to all the claims, I could feel the slow trickle of the water, compared with the full immersion of my cheap Warehouse 2.2mm, the wetsuit was warm to the touch after I got out and I was colder out of the water than in it! From now on I will be buying all my wetsuits from here period the end!

I bought my first seventh wave wetsuit a few months ago and can not be more stoked! To begin with this is the first time I can say I have ever actually enjoyed wetsuit shopping. I tried on one wetsuit that didn't quite fit so they took my measurements and that was it! The shop staff (and dogs) are all incredibly helpful friendly! Now while all the big brands are all arguing about who has the lightest, stretchiest, and warmest wetsuits, trying to convince you who to spend your money with the answer is right here in NZ. This is the absolute most comfortable, warmest wetsuit I've ever had (my last 2 have been a flash bomb and xcel infinit drylock). Another great perk is that it absorbs minimal water, after hanging outside for 20 minutes it's nearly dry and ready for another surf! On top of all that the stiching and quality looks superb so I'm expecting this wetsuit to last incredibly well. Thank you Seventh wave for changing my whole surfing and wetsuit shopping experience, I'll be back next time for sure! Cheers Nick

I ordered a bunch of gear from Seventhwave during the Covid-19 pandemic. Firstly their customer service is first class. The are prepared to go the extra mile with question & help. The quality of their suits are world class & in a league of their own. Only useing Yamamoto neoprene I knew I was in for a treat. The spring suit & long arm steamer I purchased are the warmest & most comfortable suits I’ve worn in roughly 40 years in the water. The bonus is they make custom suits & they’re not popped out of a massive factory with a brand name on it. Their factory is their factory & it’s a non sweatshop environment based in New Zealand. Once again NZ leading the world. Highly recommended if you want the best quality to last.

I acquired a made to measure wetsuit a couple of months ago. It is epic. I've been wearing wetsuits for over 40 years and never experienced anything even half as good as my Seventhwave. The comfort factor is incredible (2/3mm) as is the warmth. My wetsuit fits so well I've not had any water trickling in...even when slamming into the water. My biggest regret is not getting one sooner. Staff in the shop really good. :)
