Its been quite a while since I was tattooed last, but now I am continuing my addiction. The Jolly Octopus is full of talented and friendly staff who are helpful with creating designs and ideas. Steve has exceeded my expectations on several occasions now, the first time with Chucky, which confirmed I had chosen the right tattoo artist and studio to continue with my other ideas. The second was with a Grim Reaper cover up, and now that its finished, one wouldn’t realise that it is a cover up. Steve has great aptitude for detail and colour matching, and I highly recommend him and his staff at The Jolly Octopus if you are looking for flair as I have since returned for several more.

Would not recommend getting a piercing here - Sister got her nose pierced here because of the great reviews. We are really disappointed with the whole experience and the result. Firstly, the place felt dirty (the piercing table was tatty, I could see bloody tissues coming out of the bin, the woman doing the piercing smelt like cigarettes). They put a ring in instead of a stud which I didn't think was best practice, after speaking with professional piercers since. The piercer spent ages trying to get the ring closed which my sister said was really painful. The ring chosen is just way way way too large for my sisters nose and sticks out! people have made comments about it being so huge! not

My son had an ear piercing done here and the piercer was lovely, really helped him stay calm and relaxed. It was a really positive experience, would definitely go here again.

The people here were nice and the shop was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the tattoo I wanted was not what was I received and am now going through an expensive and painful process of tattoo removal. The removal is far more painful to get and the cost is 11 x the cost of the tattoo. Will never go back to this tattooist.
