If you are ever in Christchurch, you must come here for dinner. Food is great, and staff are fabulous. You absolutely have to book because it is popular, but highly recommend.

First night in Christchurch and I barely walked out of my room and stumbled across this cute street, am I in Cuba? Saw this cute little place and walked up the stairs to an amazing dinner (the Celery & Stilton in salsa verde soup was Ah-mah-zing!) and the staff so friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this place! Posting this before eating dessert so that should mean something!

Absolutely amazing. The best meal I think I've ever had. Food was delicious and came promptly, staff were beyond superb, atmosphere was fantastic and not noisy at all for how busy they were. We went for our wedding anniversary and we couldnt have chosen a better restaurant. Would give them 8 out 5 stars if I could, very happy customers.

The food was outstanding from the teacup sized soup (perfect for someone looking to join in a starter but not a major portion) to the beetroot Wellington. A meat eater wouldn’t be fooled that it was meat but it was just as if not more delicious than a beef Wellington. Delightful staff with good banter and great attention. Stunning.

Our daughter shouted her father a birthday dinner here -very remotely, after having read the reviews. May I add mine: get yourself here for a truly outstanding dining experience. The most beautiful beef I had in my entire life (aged Canterbury beef filet), an exquisite gazpacho with watermelon and heirloom tomato and , natch, all was wonderful, cooked to perfection, spiced just so, the Negroni not too bitter, the service staff knowledgeable and charming... I need to be back here often!
