The products here are great. But just some friendly constructive criticism: customer service can definitely be improved. I know it's probably not easy having to stand at the counter all day, but it'd be nice to see a bit more positive attitude.

We would not recommend this place at all and we don't normally give business bad reviews. However this one is for you United Fisheries. We bought some non marine - products from here but we picked the wrong size and we wanted to exchange for the correct ones, however refused by the staff because they "were out of freezer and poisonous" -really?! for non fisheries products?!. And the staff was very very rude and suggested to us to put them in our own freezer to poison ourselves!!! Definitely one of the most shocking experience we have ever encountered for many years.

Just wondering, you say your 100% NZ owned but your product is of Vietnam. does all your seafood come from overseas.

Tryed emailing them about how terrible we found their calamari rings three times but site doesn't let you submit comments. Crumbed Processed fish meal is not calamari rings.. pretty embarrassing wen the Chinese squid rings are far better than a kiwi company. The package suggests actual calamari rings not garden fertilizer.

Tried the Beer Battered Snapper. One piece may have been snapper but the other piece was absolutely disgusting. So rubbery could not cut it and the fish was yellow/grey looking. Think they put one piece in that seems like snapper (doubt?) and one piece of rubbish to get rid of it. Will never buy again.

It looks just like a seafood factory but in fact they do retail/wholesale as well. Good variety of frozen seafood, with competitive prices. Don’t be afraid to go inside, and there’s a small shop on the ground floor. You can see it after you entered the factory gate.

26 Oct 2018 - There is a small retail shop (L-shaped area) in this large building. There is multiple display freezers for storing the frozen seafood and plenty to choose from. The product sizes are definitely larger than what you can buy from the local supermarkets. I love eating tiger prawns but I can confirmed that the prawns here are bigger than what you can buy from the Hornby's Pak N Save supermarket. There are no fresh seafood sold at this site. They mainly sell shell fish products. Plenty of on site parking . Friendly staff. They accept cash and have an EFTPOS machine (debit card payment only and there is no Paywave available), for those who want to know. Would I go back? Of course Would I recommend? Yes . Selections: Can't go wrong with plenty of seafood to choose from. Ambience: out of 5. It is inside a dispatch area environment, and therefore don't expect too much. However, the place is clean, neat and tidy throughout. Price: out of 5. I think it is reasonable when factoring the larger sizes of these shell fish products compared to the local supermarkets (specialised fish mongers and fish markets are excluded from this comparison ).
