Beach was great wasn't too hot but we did a shot of cold wind so that was a surprise. Lifesavers finished at 5pm we got there 10 minutes to 5 but was all good tide was going out. It was nice that the lifeguards let us know they were finishing for the day.

I enjoy coming down this end of New Brighton Beach a lot more quieter and calmer. Come find me on Instagram for more photos like this the_mountain.mannequin

Good area for beach walking ... centre point n between New Brighten Pier and north/nice morning walk with a small breeze blowing n the sun not quite up .... tide in or out, doesnt matter .... safe beach for kids providing they watched n if swimming then safer between the flags.Popular in weekends and holidays and plenty of room for everyone with car parking near beach and surrounding areas. .. wash facilities for getting rid of sand b4 going home all near the toilet block on the car park side of the surf lifesaving building

This stretch of beach has similar scenery to that of New Brighton, although what made it for me was how quite it was, perhaps because of school, but it is still a large beach so if it did get busy, there's still heaps of room for everyone. Despite this, the toilets weren't the best; only one per gender (plus the disabled toilet) but the female one wouldn't flush and some doors wouldn't lock.
