Classic style of housing. Generally clean and comfortable. Close to the Christchurch Botanical Gardens as well as the other YHA Christchurch Hereford St (just one or two streets away). The only downside will be the bathroom/toilet that can be inconvenient. Personally prefers the YHA at Hereford St in general.

Good price at a good location. Walking distance to Botanic Garden. Limited parking tho. Showers on a separate floor.

It has a great location that is convenient to go the botanic gardens, museums and a gallery. Staffs are friendly. I used a room for four, which is generally clean and quiet.

The place was roomy, felt welcoming! The common room is great and the kitchen facilities seemed good and clean! As per usual being tall, the beds were short but that's my fault . Everyone staying in the room got a key which was great but they have a very large fee of 20 per lost key, so keep them safe! This place is a great price at an even better location! Be warned, you'll be walking a good 30 minutes to get some food though And it also gets extremely hot in the rooms! Sometimes what felt like 28 degrees!

Lovely, quiet and has everything you need! Although the rooms get really hot in summer! Reason for 4 stars :) but otherwise a 5 star in my opinion :)

Well located. But the hostel itself is a bit tired inside and out. Clean, just a bit old and in need of refurbishment. It was, however, quite reasonably priced. The staff were also friendly and professional. There is also parking if you are prepared to pay for it. Not bad, but there are better options near by I would recommend instead.

Great place, very clean and spacious. Stayed in the 4 beds dormitory - very comfy mattress! Big kitchen. Well located. Calm and laidback atmosphere. Foreigners and kiwis both staying there.

Nice Hostel. Very convenient spot right next to the city centre and opposite the Botanical gardens.The Bathroom facilities were clean and the free wifi was working all the time. Very helpful and friendly staff. Can be a bit loud outside since there are currently building something next door. But all in all a good experience.
