Busy but well sited. Good people in charge. The amenities are adequate, but no more. However, the position is awesome. Suicidal snapper at the offshore mussel farms and great sea views, with a boat ramp. Nice walks around the area. Good value.

Decided to return after 7 years and bring the kids to where we spent alot of time before they came along. We traveled all the way from Whanganui so was a slight hike but totally worth it. New owners now but still the same paradise as when we were there last. Owners put on a Easter egg hunt for all the kids. No kid was left empty handed. How good is that!

Long Bay Camping: We stayed here Christmas 2020, on powered camp site. We did not realise the power had to have a special cord to fit the plug. The owners kindly gave us one to use for our 4 month old baby. Weather: Was very windy but sunny. Owner: Two awesome people who live on site with other family members to take care of the camp site. Other campers: Were easy going and very friendly. Hot showers costed 50c Washing machines 4 Dryer 4 - There is a kitchen, lounge, freezer, fridge, bbq, elements. (All shared with other campers) Property: Very clean and well maintained. This campsite has two spots Long bay camp site area and Tucks bay area. - Tucks bay only has a long drop. But its a short drive or walk too Long bay campsite. ENJOY YOUR STAY :)

Leanne and Des are the best hosts. Clean toilets and showers. All other facilities in excellent condition. Kids love it and are safe. No hooligans and late night disturbances. I will bring my whole family here... ANYTIME. Thanx for a perfect holiday.
