Dined in tonight. I had the spare ribs half version. Was a huge and great tasting feast for one. My wife had the fish large, beautifully cooked Orange Roughy as the Blue Cod was unavailable. We will go back as Lauren and her staff were great serving us and checking everything was in order during our meal. Friendly staff with great attitudes too! A wee piece of history as well, as the dining hall walls are adorned with pics of yesteryear.

Great place, we came here for lunch on our way to Twizel. It was very nice, we had shrimp linguine and crispy chicken burger. Nice setting outside and inside. There are two restaurants actually, one licensed with a bar and another one next to it without the bar but great for kids. Menu is the same, I think the one also had bar snacks and the pizzas!
Dined in last night great food highly recommend bar manager was great we arrived early not knowing it opened at 4 and he let us in early for drinks and was super friendly
Would not recommend the bread and selection of spreads ....it came out with 2 knife spreads thinly spread on the board , was not enuff for the mini bread loaf which consisted of 6 slices...bread loaf was very heavy and doughy...had the half pork spare ribs which was very filling and perfectly cooked .....staff were great
Great way to end a stunning day in Cromwell. Beautiful outdoor area. We were served by a Yorkshire lass (Lauren) who was amazing, despite it being a busy night we got great service, nothing was a problem and most importantly the food was great. We will be back!!!
Nice restaurant and setting. Service not so good. My market fish meal was pretty average. My husband who eats most things happily, found his fish burger pretty budget. Sorry, won't be in a hurry to return here.

Great food, appalling service. We went in on a reasonably quiet Sunday evening - meal for two. Two staff ignored us waiting to be seated in the restaurant before a third came to our service. Starter and main came reasonably quickly, but the staff member serving our table gave awful service. Asked us if we needed more drinks, we ordered and they never came. We had to go to the bar and get them ourselves. When we had finished the main no one came to clear our table and once again we had to go to the bar and order our own deserts, which then took ages to come, and arrived before the plates from the mains had even been cleared. Would never ever come back. Felt like no one much cared about the restaurant customers. Emailed manager as requested in the google response.. never got a reply.
