On a good day it's amazing (summer) During peak times kitchen facilities isn't enough better to bring your own utensil as not everything is available. Toasters weren't working properly. And when taking showers use only 1 coins which gives you 5 minutes hot water. Make sure you have a full tank of petrol as the nearest station might be invercargill.

The staff were good. We didn't use the kitchen but it was a decent size with some cooking equipment. The bathrooms were clean with 3 showers and toilets in the main block. They cost 1 for 5 minutes but you can't put more in so washing hair can be an issue but understandable. The laundry facilities are great 4 for washer and 4 for dryer. If staying in a tent make sure you let them know as there is a lot of sites that are sloping and not suitable. There is a great surf beach only a minutes walk where you can often see dolphins The nearest supermarket is almost an hours drive away so come prepared as the food and drink on site can be a little costly at 6.50 for a coffee!

Stunning views from the campsite. Great amenities (fridge, stove, microwave, toaster). Showers cost 1 but last for 5 minutes so good value. Website is a little unclear to navigate (not obvious as to what is available) also we booked a tent spot but was given a gravel area (which wouldn't hold tent pegs) but staff were very accommodating and found us somewhere different. I'd definitely go again.

The facilities are manageable for this remote location. The setting and the uniqueness of the caravan spots are memorable. The surrounding area is rugged and magical. Lots of wildlife spotted.

Friendly, kind staff offer excellent service here! You just have to stop and stay here, if only to check out the yellow-eyed penguins out! Also there's a beach adjacent for a nice swim. Be sure to visit the local surf shop and hire some boards and wet-suits and you might luck out and meet some Hector Dolphins in your paddling session (:

A well set up modern reception area for the camp ground with a Cafe and visual history of the area. Right by the sea too!

28/3/2021 Decided to check in as finding water in this area is appalling, so 1 person with power is 40 not great value, asked if internet was included and given yes. But sadly the internet in the area we stayed was switched off reported it to the office and basically they did really care. This is failure to supply part of my contract, no alternative was offered, part of reason we stayed was the poor local internet coverage. Decided to just stay 1 night instead of two their loss, also you have to pay for showers so they like to stick it in with a smile. Great location but that was about it probably wont be back and I will tell 10 people and it comes back in different ways. Customer service is key in these camps and this one needs improvement.
