Island Park speedway, Dunedin's only speedway, is a great spot to spend a night watching some racing. The venue is family friendly with sections for families where smoking and alcohol is prohibited. There is generally a good selection of food trucks on site, but you are able to bring your own food and drink in. There is space for viewing for about 20 cars on the northeast bank, but it pays to be early to get a spot. Island Park quite often has events on such as demolition derby, ramp race, chain race and more. There is also fireworks shows at special events, which is always a hit. Entry is cheap for families too, with family tickets available. Adults are 20, students and seniors 15 and 10 for the kids and children under 5 are free. Get amongst!

Great time out for family and friends, especially when you can take along a few drinks. Food also a great price so definitely worth buying on site.

Great place to go for an exciting evening. Sometimes you could get close to 100 cars racing. Family friendly. Restricted areas for drinking.

The worst run championship I ever experienced if you had a d on the side you can do anything you want. How can a car limp around the wall with flat tyre and get 2nz and other car get put in on the infield I know it had a D on it.Also rescue team don't wear fire ppe if you can't do wear it properly no helmets also when red light comes on go check drive not just when it is upside dont.Speedway New Zealand need to have a serious look how it is run

Really good night out. Well priced @ 15 adults. Quite a few races with good variety of class cars. Goes for about 3 hours. Definitely worth the trip
