The bus stop was fine. However the experience with intercity was not. Had booked a ticket to the dunedin airport going from oamaru. Bus drove straight past the airport turn off. When I spoke with the driver I was told that I wasn't on the manifest and that I had failed to check in, yet I had been on the bus since oamaru and no one bothered to ring or check my ticket. Driver pulled over and I ended having to walk for over an hour to the airport.

Far to small a site, lacking in a welcoming ambivalence. Customers experience coldness and boredom.
Good but the bus driver didn't welcome us on the bus, or tell us when the next stop was, or tell me that the seat was reserved for me, in which I paid extra for, ended sitting further down in the bus. 11 hours on the bus a long time
Slipped in town wemt to hospital in duns missed the bus by 5 minutes. Went to information center see if they could help
Great driver. Free WiFi. Good experience. A great way to meet people too.
NOTE. In March 2019, the main Intercity bus stop moved from Halsey Street to Moray Place. Reviews may refer to the Halsey Street location. The Moray Place location is a much more convenient location - much more central, and very close to the bus hub which virtually all Dunedin buses go through. However it is simply a bus stop. There are a couple of standard bus shelters, and there are no 'dedicated' toilets. You stand (sit if you are lucky), and wait.
Very helpful. Great service.
We caught the bus today from Queenstown to Clyde to start our Otago Rail Ride. Stu was great, friendly informative and helpful, telling us about the region as we passed through the area, a real professional who owned his job. The bus was comfy as well good leather seats that reclined, phone charger.
