Amazing family Castle. Must try their onsite Cafe. Truly appreciate what royal living was like. Restoration efforts and presentation for public access is appreciated. Must visit place. Not posting inside pictures as you have to see it yourself by visiting. Thanks

Mixed review castle was great gardens lovely but the cafe was well below standards. Staff unfriendly drinks took far too long to come some even forgotten. Food was horrible if you going to sell custard squares sell a good custard square the worse i have ever had it was like cardboard could not even be cut with a knife and the other square was worse can not remember what it was. There were not even that many people there hate to see them with a rush.

Fabulous place to visit, we stayed the night and paid extra to have a dinner in the castle. It was a Chef's choice menu, the food was delicious. The gardens are well maintained and looked very pretty.

World Class Experience! We had a family holiday in Dunedin, stayed in the magnificent Larnach Castle Lodge and had a timeless experience. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a enriching historical experience!

Nice to see restoration work that's been done from when I visited many years ago. Interesting informative displays about the castle when you enter. Also enjoyed the Devonshire tea and scones with jam and cream in the Ballroom Cafe beside a roaring fireplace.
