Pretty run down. Lovely area and probably worth a visit outside peak holiday season but facilities too old and small for the number of campers. Would be great if you are self contained but limited hot water and Tiny kitchen make it difficult for large families.

Amazing place to live or stay and enjoy the camping lifestyle highly recommend!! Amazing river, warm water, showers, bathrooms and a kitchen.
Owners seem fine, good camp site if 100% self contained. Great able to have dogs. However. Place rundown. Kitchen completely inadequate when half full. 1 microwave, 1 jug, 1 toaster. 3 sinks. 1 had no water. And a bank of hot plates. No oven. No sitting area. Toliet/shower block very limited hot water, and poor pressure. Still no hot water at 9.30 pm. Toilets need to be double flushed due to low water pressure. Disability toilet very poor standard. Light not working. No paper for nearly 24 hrs. Again very low water pressure. Ground around toilet uneven. Very hard for a disabled person to use. Urinal in 2nd toilet block broken the hole time we were there. Powered sites close to each other. Hence we left early and won't go back.

It was great, en route to Napier . We stopped and had a good stay in our bus. Walk by river, friendly. Good showers.

Great setting. Lots of trees and very sheltered. Owners seem really chill. Great river to swim in (hint, it heats up through the day). Waipatiki is 25 mins away and Linden estate is just down the road. Well worth a visit. We had a great time and will be back. Would highly recommend. Basic amenities and a great vibe.
The owners were lovely, nice, and helpful. There was a great little swimming river with a fun rope swing into it. There was a great casual vibe to the place.
