Easy to see when you stop here why they call these the Mirror Lakes! You can get amazing views of the mountains and amazing photos here pretty much anytime of day. We stopped in the early afternoon on our drive up to Milford Sound. It is a “must” stop along the way. There is decent parking off the road, and a walkway along the lakefront with plenty of viewing points to stop and get some great photos!

A great place to stop between Te Anau and Milford Sounds. It is worth it and I love how beautiful it is. It is rather cold over there.

Been there thrice and water was not calm to see perfect reflection as name suggest.. Ohh and full of sandflies.. so make sure you have full covered cloths and or have insect repellent...

This place is a heritage site and a nice short stop. The walk only takes 5 mins, unfortunately the day I visited the lake there was a light wind draft so no mirror reflection this time.

It was pretty cool. No offense to the area, but I've seen better "Mirror lakes" that didn't claim to be...but still worth it. If you can squeeze amongst the other tourists, you may even get a photo!

If u want 2 just drive sumwhere n look at sumthing then this is a 5 star place - You can see the end of the boardwalk/Bridge from the start. Its very very small (I would 100% call it a mirror 'pond'). You can onli see a mirror view wen there is absolutely no wind. The small walk is in great condition and informative. It wasn't wat I expected but I enjoyed the experience.
