Claims to be an infomation centre but appears to just be a sales office for local attractions. Is attached to a tourist restaurant.

We walked in and they could have hardly seemed less interested. The man was on the phone, the young lady, with blonde hair, was curt and totally unwilling or uninterested in answering questions, welcoming us or offering anything extra. A complete difference between this poor service and the welcoming and friendly service we've received an information centers all over NZ this month.

Phone number appears to be disconnected- very disappointing

This is not an information center. An older frumpy looking lady who claimed to work there belligerently exxplained (yelled) that the i symbol did not stand for information center but was simply the letter "i". When i queried as to whether this is not a tad misleading she went off on a vitriolic verbal tangent, screaming wildly that it was not a resource or information center. So... whoever owns this place is selling over priced 'tours' attracting the public by masquerading as a public information center. Avoid at all costs...scammers, and damn rude.

We walked in twice on two separate days to ask a few questions. They really didn't seem bothered when asking about walking routes.

Were there didn't want to talk

Not a visitors center

Very small, nothing but a few pamphlets and two people absolutely not interested in anyone who walks in. A great disappointment, especially for such a busy destination. Nothing to do with any proper i-site in NZ.
