We really enjoyed walking by the side of the river as it was a nice sunny day which helped to show off the riven and the surrounding scenery. From our Motel it was an easy stoll to the Turanganui River and then along the paved footpath. There are plenty of trees to see and the river Bank is well maintained. Definitely worth a visit if you are touring in this part of New Zealand.
