Just a fantastic accommodation in Kinloch. It's a bit of a rocky drive down to this lakefront site - but it's worth it! The hot tub and tranquility of this place is just unmatched. A highlight for our trip to Queenstown! The staff were friendly and the facilities are just perfect.

For many the gr8 stars are from those who stayed in the hostel. The old retreat was lovely although 110 each for an double room and reasonable. The food was short. We had to open my baking of Iranian black bean topping with calamari drizzle just after. This was our lunch for the next day.

Excellent service. Location is remote but part of its appeal. Definitely meets definition of wilderness retreat. Would recommend 100%.

Amazing place on a hill side with a golf course. Kinloch is on Lake Taupo. We checked in and went for a bike ride. Great bikes and great trails. Fantastic dinner with local ingredients, especially the deer. Apparently done with sous vide. Breakfast the next day was amazing. Then we (7) went for a 10 mile hike. We had 5 couples and they opened a villa near one of us for a space to socialize and do laundry!!! Amazing. Dinner the next night was equally good with seared scallops and pumpkin soup. The wines available appeared to be priced at the standard 3.5 times over retail so don’t be surprised, because they were very good. Golf times were available after 2 pm for lodge guests. One of our couples got 9 holes for 100 30 for clubs walking and balls were 5 a piece. Overall a great stay and we combined ours with Treetops. See my other review. Hi

Just located nearby the lake and camp base. Very tasty dishes and friendly staff. It’s a lounge if you’d like to stay here overnight. It’s also offer the shower room (10) for campers. Hot meal of the day will changed based on different seasons. The beer battered snapper is highly recommended.

Tranquility. Watched 3 Tui and a Pifeon in the Kowhai tree. Obliging staff produced coffee and a big bowl of chips which we consumed looking out over the lake. Magic. Stunning new pods. Special proce to the end of October includes daily breakfast. Perfect mini break.

What an amazing place to visit! So nice to get far away from everything and just be alone by the lake. Lovely couple that own and run the place. Amazing food at the restaurant! There’s a movie room with SO many options as well as a popcorn maker and a hot tub. Kayaks for rent. Dorm options for cheaper accom or single rooms
