They serve a very delicious buffet sometimes and south Indian thali during weekends. There butter chicken is to die for.
As soon as we entered i was happy to be shown to our table. Beautiful decor,spotlessly clean.relaxed atmosphere. Great menu and wine list. Delicious meal. Will go again.
Had a wonderful meal after a tiring day at Priya Restaurant, we ordered homemade chicken curry, dal tadka and kadhai paneer and breads. All curries were good hot and tasty but portion size is less for the price. The staff was very courteous and full points for maintenance and hygiene. If you fancy a tea after your meal go for the masala chai.
This restaurant is absolutely horrible in Customer Service. The wait time for me was 1 hour 5 minutes. For others i have heard, its always near an hour. The food quality is too bad. Anyone who has tasted Indian food elsewhere in New Zealand, wouldn't even be able to intake the full quantity. The spices didn't mix or are piled to form mounds. The taste is horrible. Please get the taste of any other standard Indian restaurant in NZ, to take my words. Also the price is comparatively high, and the quantity low, compared to other Indian restaurants. They are only taking the advantage of monopoly Indian restaurant in Greymouth area. I would have given negative rating, but the option is not available in google.
The food was not worth eating after waiting for 1 hour. When I spoke to the Duty Manager he said I wont charge for one curry. Honestly I have never eaten such disgusting food in my life at any Indian restaurant. Not recommended at all for eating.
Worst curry ever head in my life. Meat was so tough you could not chew! Get significantly better sauces from a jar in the supermarket! Basically go anywhere else!
I'm a local and this place used to be awesome! It has gone downhill badly we were getting takeouts which were bland so decided it might be better fresh from the kitchen so dined in. The service was poor very unfriendly, We got a beer that was meant to be on tap as advertised but it came from a can as I saw her pour it, We got a starter missing ingredients listed on the menu, Then got our mains which were so salty they were disgusting they also forgot our naan bread and once we asked they cooked some which was also inedible as it was burnt. I would avoid this place the service is no better than the food! Absolute waste of money!
