My dad was left tied to a chair and even though he requested multiple times for water, staff would walk straight past him. We visited at 8.30 one night to find my dad still in the chair and had not been moved, he was exhausted and wanted to go to bed but there was not enough staff to do the bed time routine. We ended up putting him to bed ourselves at 9.30. When he got sick they told us it would be best we left him to die. We moved him to another home, where was treated and he made a good recovery due to their care. He gained quality of life for a further two and half years. Time to enjoy his grandchildren. I will never forget his smile when held his grand daughter. I would not recommend this facility, if you have choice.

Might not be the most extravagant facility but the “Care” is amazing. Staff are friendly and accommodating and take great care with all their residents.

From the short time my dad was here he has experienced a lack of service This is supposed to be a “secure” unit Not being secured in a chair has enabled him to fall and dislocate a hip Undiagnosed illness has meant that visiting family have had to call an ambulance for pneumonia He had painful untreated bedsores There is a lack of staff The only wheelchair I saw has 2 flat tyres
