Bret was at all times very approachable and very understanding. He gave us excellent advice and despite the additional heavy demand on his time his charges remained the same. However, for me, Slater and Co are much more than merely that: I have a company and two trusts, and I've entrusted Brett to look after them all for me for more than 15 years now. Why? Because, in my experience, Brett is approachable, straightforward, trustworthy, accurate, thorough, and unobtrusively professional. And he's always made himself available to help me work through issues, both business and personal. Life somehow gets more complicated as you get older and organizing business set-ups and doing tax returns can be the last straw. From the time I first discussed taxes and business set ups with Brett many years ago, it was obvious he new more about the tax system than folk from tax department. Brett was instrumental in designing an innovative business set up and continues to provide helpful advice; but the biggest relief for me is that each year my tax issues are efficiently resolved with minimal stress or time wasting.
