Friendly staff but worst lemon meringue I've ever tasted. No lemon tartness. The lemon was a gross kind of stuff which was so sweet it was really horrid. Really disappointed as it used to be very good. Don't know if it's just the store that is terrible. I definitely won't be going back

Friendly staff, I found the bell to call them useful since I like looking around and taking my time before ordering anything. Got to taste some samples before ordering my slice which was nice. The slice I ordered was mountain berry cheesecake. It was creamy and not overly sweet, which was nice. I would have preferred a more buttery biscuit base instead of the slightly dry coconuty one they used, but it was still good. All the gelatine they use is plant based, so it's vegetarian friendly, which I appreciate even though I'm not a vegetarian. Would visit again to try some other flavours.

Just wanted to thank The Cheesecake Shop in Hamilton for the assistance and great customer service yesterday. Although the cake was not what I initially ordered online, the tiramisu torte I ended up selecting was amazing and everyone LOVED it! Your cakes are just amazing!! Thanks!

This place would be the “ rudest, uncaring” shop I have been in for years! Daniel was SO RUDE when I called to collect a carrot cake we had asked to be covered in “ cheesecake icing ONLY” as we were going to decorate it ourselves. We asked Daniel on the phone on Saturday that this was a “ birthday cake” & to “ just ice it.” ....When we arrived to collect the cake it was covered in nuts. Daniel had “ not” listened to our request to keep the cake plain/ no nuts. ....I expressed my disappointment saying that it was not as I had asked & that we were meeting our birthday friend in “ one hour.” When I asked what else he he had Daniel “ verbally abused me & said I was rude & that he would not serve me anymore!” We were SO shocked at Daniel’s rudeness! ...I did not get a plain iced cake “as we requested” on the phone call to him! Daniel aggression to us was GROSSLY RUDE! Daniel is BAD for your business!! Then he rudely said IF WE APOLOGISED for our “ upset” he “ might” serve us. IT WAS Daniel who had been “VERY RUDE” to me! I have worked in Customer Service at Air NZ for 42 years where we WON TOP AIRLINE CUSTOMER SERVICE for OVER 15 YEARS!!.... I left the shop with a cake that we did not want as we had to get something! DANIEL “ showed absolutely NO CARE” to help us get a cake for our friend that I liked! He stood there with his arms folded & stared at me while I desperately tried to think what to do... Daniel is a VERY RUDE, UNHELPFUL PERSON! I would NEVER go to this shop to get a cake EVER AGAIN & I will TELL ALL MY FRIENDS about Daniel & your shop!️️

Cake was okay, but pretty below average experience. Not many choices of cakes and the one I liked was not available in smaller size so ended up choosing whatever was available and then paid 5 extra for writing the wishes on the cake which came out like this !! Honestly this kind of writing you expect from a professional , seem like a kid scribbled the message on cake. Won’t return to this branch ever..

This place is a fat, diabetic, American dream, unfortunately for the rest of us, it’s just awful. You would be better to go the Cake Box, or pak’n’save. Both are better than the Cheesecake Shop.

Not good experience... never answer call. Always rude when we ask for eggless cake varieties.Whenever order through online. Never read description.. that’s not only first time happened. Almost ordered 5-6 times and same mistakes they do
