Arrived at 9pm after a 6 hour drive,it was dark and check in office had been closed . Premise Care taker noticed us hanging around and came to help and called manager .Manager promptly came to the office to help us , turned out we had mistakenly booked the wrong month and the town was completely booked and driving back to Christchurch for a hotel wasn’t happening as a music festival had cleaned out bookings there as well. The manager was able to get us into a great room for that night and the following night. He is a very professional, compassionate and composed manager .I really appreciated the help from both the manager and care taker ,simply awesome customer service!.

Not clean at all , oven filthy as with roast dish full of fat & oven top and inside filthy. The duvet had stain that was clear to see & took that and the oven tray to owner. Units ok and good size. , but the leather lounge suites one you’d have in a student flat at best ; worn out and you couldn’t give it away . Windows look like they are cleaned annually. Would look elsewhere .
The guy at the front was friendly and helpful as we requested to change rooms as the second bedroom had no windows which I don’t think is legal. The unit we were then given was filthy dead flies on both bedroom window sills and cutlery not clean. The walls are so thin we could hear people in the next unit using the toilet. It is also not cheap and not worth the money, book anywhere else but here

Great nights sleep. Spacious rooms. Would've been nice to have a bath. But shower had good pressure. Will be back.
Had the Moroccan chicken in the 5 stags which was superb. Served with steamed veg and roast potatoes, well recommended.
