amazing surf lesson with Dave! I was standing on my first or second try in the water. super chill and relaxed atmosphere, would definitely recommend to anyone ! also the cute dogs were a plus :)
What a place. A must go. We stubbled on this stunning surf oasis by chance as no signage and it is on a secluded beach road appropriately called Kiwi road only to meet Dave aka Davo who from the moment we met him went above and beyond. He shared his knowledge of the area and gave top recommendations of activities and restaurants nearby- this was simply an act of kindness and passion for the local area. He sent us to all these activities rather than trying to sell his own business. We returned later that day as we were in love with the location, the surfing/SUPing on offer and knowing just how nice Dave was. Great value for the activities with ultimate surf knowledge from Dave. We had accommodation for the night already but the “Rad” AirBnB was too good to not stay in . The views of the sea and mountains were magnificent. This Kiwi Surf Experience was the best part of an already awesome action packed South Island tour and I pray that one day I will return to meet the family and be surfing the waves with expert Dave in the water giving me his unlimited surfing knowledge\u200d️.
I just arrived up here after seeing it on Google Maps and Dave was very accommodating straight away renting me a wetsuit, booties and a board and telling me where to get the best surf. All the equipment is of a top standard and I had a great surf and experience!
Randomly remembered this place and I have to thank everyone there for the surf lessons. What an amazing location and certainly the most fun while nctir was still ongoing. Thanks guys ;)
The absolute best place to stay. Its golden hour all day here, with mountains crashing into ocean, and surf you just can't beat. We woke up to dolphins and wales jumping in the ocean right in front of the accommodation. Took a couple paddle boards out and swam with the dolphins. Incredible experience that won't soon be forgotten.
Great place, rented wetsuits and boards this morning. Owner is such a friendly guy who took the time to tell us about the breaks, boards.. etc. Chill place with a great atmosphere. Will definitely come back one day :)
