An exceptional space to discuss business plans, strategies and nuances with my colleagues. The atmospheric music and lights that come on after 11 sets a unique mood. The only downside is requiring ID as my colleagues and I rarely have your driver's licence on us (Jeeves usually brings the car round for us).
The best salt and pepper squid/calamari i have ever tasted. Not chewy and does not need too much effort to slice with even just the fork! Good taste and just right serving.. Good choices of beer as well.. very well placed lay out and accessible..
Fantastic bistro and bar in heart of Havelock North village. Chefs are so talented. The menu is fresh and outstanding. Prices are good. Service great. Welcoming staff. Atmosphere nice inside and out.

The "lady" that greeted and waited on us seemed to be bothered with us being there. She was very unfriendly and needs to find a new line of work (Diva?). There were other servers that seemed to be more on their game. Surprise, orders came out wrong. They sat in window for 5min until one of the servers on his game brought it to us. He saved the meal. Food was good, hence the 3 stars!!!
Service was great, small portions but ok for lunch not what I expected for chicken Parma
There was approx 20 people in the establishment, which was less than a (visual) 1/3 capacity. Our orders took over an hour to come. No steak knife with steak, had to ask. Drinks took 20 mins... and came out in waves (party of 9). Despite insisting and requesting no mayo / aioli and reminded the waiter, who then scrapped off the sauce from the bun.... the chicken burger was terrible as well. Poor, slow service and the food was sub par.
