I went there in 2018 because I wanted to get involved with the church. After a couple weeks, I was told by the "pastor" that if I wanted to be part of their church, I needed to be baptized. I told him that I was already baptized back 2009. He said that I had to get baptized in their church to be part of their church. I thought it was weird but I agreed to be baptized under their church. Unfortunately, that wasn't the biggest problem. On the day that I was going to get baptized, the "pastor" wanted me to share a passage of scripture from Malachi chapter 3. He wanted me to take this passage of scripture out of context and tell the church that if they didn't tithe, God will curse them. I was very disturbed by this so I refused to read it. I also tried to explain to the "pastor" that manipulating the church to tithe using scripture from the old testament is wrong. He didn't listen so I left and never went back. I'm a bible believing Christian who loves my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ because he first loved me. I also love my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. This comment is not to slander but to expose a wolf in sheep clothing. The apostle Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 9:7 - "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." No where in the bible has Paul or any other author of the New Testament say that a Christian is required to tithe. Tithing was for the Israelites before the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
