Great set up, good gear that is well used. Great briefing about the journey ahead. The travel times on the supplied guides are pretty acurate so allow plenty of time. The guide sheets could do with a bit of an update to include info about the main rapids and some history would be good. Pick up at the end was great. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

What an awesome time we had recently!!! This family run business provides a very friendly, professional canoeing operation. Anyone wanting a kiwi experience will enjoy this trip. Would recommend this company totally!!! Our group of 32 had a blast!!!!
We had a great time on the river. And they were there to help us to have the best trip possible. If/when I'll do it again, I know I'll go with them again. Everything went smoothly thanks to them, even with some problems on our part. They are nice and efficients. Also it was really nice to freedom camp there, it's handy and beautiful!
Great safety briefing even without previous canoe experiences like me was able to do this. Very helpful and quick response from them. Strongly recommended to stay at Ramanui campsite for your last night if possible and they would able to help your booking. 5 stars!!!
We had an excellent experience with TCH, from the beginning to the end. We had to postpone our trip due to heavy rain, and Karen moved all our hut bookings for us. They let us camp at their base, gave us 6 barrels per canoe (instead of 3 as some competitors do), we had coffee and bread in the morning and a very good safety briefing. The pickup was smooth, they even brought us cupcakes!
Awesome people, very welcoming and kind and they make booking your trip so easy. Highly recommend them for your Whanganui river adventure. Nice extra touches with the coffee and homemade bread at the safety briefing, they make you feel welcomed and valued as a customer.
Very enjoyable 5-day trip! The start was well organised and there was some very valuable lessons taught as most of us had never done canoeing before. Also, we were really impressed with how smoothly the pick up went for our 30 group and we were back to Taumaranui after a very comfortable bus ride :) Thanks to everyone who made it happen!
