This place is one of the hidden culinary gems of NZ. It’s hard to believe you’re in little old Hoki when you see the beautiful presentation and taste the food these ladies produce in their tiny kitchen. Just had our second meal in 2 months, and it was sensational food, drinks and service on both visits. As a new mum with a baby in tow, the staff were great about having a wee one with us, and I felt really comfortable breastfeeding (something which not all establishments do well!!). This place needs hats... Cuisine if you’re reading this, I hope you visit soon

Stellar meal - one of the best I have had in a long time - Gatherer would stand on it’s own in NYC, London or Paris but is right at home in Hokitika! Great selection of dishes, the variety of tastes and textures is stunning. Great wine and beer selection - everything on the menu has a story. The service was friendly and forthcoming and a great complement to the meal. If there’s one meal you want to have on the Coast (or even NZ) make it here.
disappointed to be turned away 2 hours before close as we didn't have a booking, the place was empty and we would have happily sat outside or in a corner. wish I could have given a good review as it looks like a great place to eat.
Fantastic food, amazing cocktails, an exciting wine list, great local beers, ciders and non-alcoholic offerings.I am not vegetarian but this was an absolutely wonderful experience. A high level of service but so casual and relaxing. Affordable and intriguing, a must do on the coast.
The food here is delicious. Something different .with the wole/ raw food approach Great coffee too. Funky eclectic place and lovely friendly staff.
Excellent flavours and presentation. Amazing plant based options. We stopped for both lunch and dinner in the same day, it was that good!
This place serves the most incredible, authentic Mexican vegetarian/vegan food! What a find! This is honestly one of the best restaurants in NZ and undoubtedly the best Mexican in NZ, it’s in remote Hokitika. I wish they would expand to Auckland.
Top 3 restaurants we’ve been to in nz so far. A must for when on the west coast. Amazing food, the detail of flavour is really special and great ambiance! A local hotspot! Can’t wait to go back!
