It is a "must go" place in Hokitika. I visted the place 10 years ago and still find it amazing today. It is better to go in week day between 10:30am to 4pm when the workshop is opened. It is amazing to see how they put the colour in the glass and shape them.

Such a lovely place. I visited more than 13 years ago and loved it then. This time we came specifically and live it even more! We still have our pieces that we bought then. Friendly patient and helpful staff. We came back specially on a weekday to watch the glassblowing after missing them on a Easter Saturday. So amazing to watch. My 12 and 8 yo boys were riveted and watched it for ages. We saw the 2 glass artists make a memorial piece, a penguin, a mushroom and a spinning top. We couldn't resist and ended up buying a glass figurine for watch person in the family plus some gifts.

A really Interesting place to watch glass blowing. Lovely friendly informative staff and a well stock shop which sells their own products. I had trouble deciding what to buy, everything is just so beautiful

We toured the place while on vacation in 2016 and bought a glass penguin. The detail and quality is amazing. We still enjoy it everyday.

Stopped in for Christmas presents and to watch the glass blowing. We bought a pair of beautiful gifts. We were a bit early so had a bit of a chat. The guys were friendly and when we came back later enjoyed watching them make Kiwi & Penguins. Our 8yo was fascinated and would have stayed longer.

We took our time over our purchase and were well supported by the patient staff. We're well satisfied that we've not only bought something unique, but useful and we're sure will be enjoyed by our daughter who we are gifting it to.
