My mother and I have been shopping at the Hornby branch for years and would not go anywhere else, even though it's out of our way. Not only is the store always looking immaculate, the staff are always friendly, approachable, and helpful. A special mention of Timothy, who is always a pleasure to deal with. He is an asset to your company. There are lots of places I could shop, but your staff are the reason I come back. I never thought I would ever write a review, but credit where it's due. Thanks to the Whitcoulls Hornby team.

I enjoy hornby whitcoulls, I love the friendly staff and the funny as banter, Timothy's always been so helpful when I am trying to find something and I can tell him a little bit about a book I.m looking for and he finds it just like that. Yesterday I went in for highlighters and Wendy and Timothy were so funny, I loved their helpfulness, friendliness and how funny they both were, thanks guys, I.ll be back.

Was unable to hold conversation with staff member without being treated as argumentative, despite all early efforts. Obvious disdain immediately upon setting foot inside and so it was right to the end. Screwed up face and total shut-down state. Returned later to Paper Plus - got equivalent item I had tried to buy earlier - in and out no problem. Paper Plus staff were normal / good. Thanks Paper Plus. I should've known better from a previous bad experience but it was a chain specific product I asked about. But who cares about chain specific after that, right? My advice - go to Paper Plus or anywhere else first and I'd give this shop a total miss - don't lower yourself. I will avoid this chain now. They used to employ better people once upon a time but these days they're atrocious and hopeless.

Rude and disrespectful towards me and my partner making faces and signalling to other workers to laugh at us making us feel like we weren't welcome and the workers were bad talking past customers very loudly and also bad talking other workers behind their backs, would not recommend going here

Disappointed with the unhelpful staff. On my last visit to the Hornby store I asked the sales person , who seemed to be in charge of the store, about a product I've recently seen in other Whitcoulls stores. She seemed overwhelmed and was unable to find the game in their system. When I mentioned I've seen it in the Westfield store she said the Hornby store didn't carry it, that they are a small store, that I should go somewhere else to get it. I went back to the shelf looking for another option available in that store. I found the game I was looking for in the first place, among other boxes. The sales person was around crossing over me and my party trying to serve someone else. I tried (twice) to let her know that they had the game and she totally ignored me like she didn't hear me. Very rude. I went to pay and when I told the teller I had a loyalty number she stated it was already too late. That if I didn't have the card with me I had to go back with a card and the docket for the points to be added. At other stores the attendants usually ask for the number as they receive the item(s) I'm about to pay and I have even been able to redeem my rewards without the card.
