Worst mussel and whitebait fritter. Very bland and no flavor. Waste of 20. The owners have no customers service skills. Very disappointing
Great place to stop in have a break on our travels and grab a quick bite to eat of NZ's famous mussel or white bait fritters (so big it feeds us both) or a hot bowl of seafood chowder, owned and run by a lovely local family. They are always friendly and kind. Thanks Mussel Man team

Awesome chowder, they have condiments but you likely wont need them. It's right on the main road but pretty overlooking the river.
If you are travelling through Huntly I can thoroughly recommend a quick stop at the Huntly Power Station viewpoint. Where you can eat a LOVELY Mussel Fritter at the roadside Mussel Man vehicle. They are to die for!!!!!!!
No flavor! Waste of money for a flour fritter. You can see the mussels but tastes like flour!!!
