My husband and I just returned home from our 8 day hunt with South Pacific Safaris. We both had a beyond amazing time. My husband has hunted all over the world and this was one of his absolute favorite trips. Brent, Louise, and their team are all very friendly and we felt they were more like family when we stayed with them. I personally didn't hunt, but had a fabulous time relaxing in the gorgeous chalet, and spending time with Louise. She took me on beautiful hikes around the property and in Kaikoura. The brand new hot tub is a great addition for relaxing during the day and at night while overlooking the gorgeous mountains and sea views. Barb, the chef, was truly top-notch. Every single meal was excellent and her personality was so warm and welcoming. We had local crayfish (lobster) a few times which was great. Barb, we miss your salmon and venison already! Truly amazing. Each night we sat down "family style" and shared stories from our days. When you are away from home for three weeks, it is nice to have this dynamic. Louise was great at organizing things for me to do during the day including whale watching, swimming with dolphins (a must do!), and even a spa day. Hayden was a wonderful hunting guide and my husband really enjoyed spending time with him. Under recent change of ownership, Brent and Louise did a fabulous job at hosting us and we miss them already. Looking forward to our next trip back! And FYI - the pictures on the website do not do this place justice, it is truly heaven on Earth.

We came in a group of 6 for 7 days in late March. We found the accomodation excellent. The property itself is stunning, the views from the hills overlooking the ocean are incredible. The hunting itself was on par with a trip we did last year in Australia, I wont go into details here though, all I can stay is its well worth the travel time!

Absolutely horrible. Deborah was completely rude when I was trying to compare to other outfitters cause I have a group of us going on a Red stag hunt which is a lot of money to us so wanted to make sure we picked the best place possible when asking questions she put down the other outfitters and then just said have a good day to me. You will never get my business. Do not go here!!
