The rail tunnel and views from the bridge and the rest of the walk are awesome and is such a nice place to come for a day trip from Auckland. We walked right to Owharoa Falls and back and were lucky it was partly cloudy

This is a great free walking experience if you are in the area. There were plenty of people on bikes too, some more courteous to pedestrians than others. I do question whether the track should be one way, as there was a section with very narrow paths. I'm just relieved I didn't meet any cyclists on that stretch of the loop walk. That aside, a great excursion to take in some of the area's natural beauty and history.

Just awesome. Love it here, wide well maintained trailer, lots of cyclists and pedestrians alike. Nice and cool, and river access. Parking can be limited at peak times, so be aware of additional parking over the road bridge near the hall.

It's a great place for walking but there are no bathrooms
