Abandoned Decay

Such a cool little spot and if you walk a little further you can reach the hugger Waterfall. There is also public toilets there too.

. (02/2019) This beautiful waterfall is part of Omeru reserve located over Kaipara Coast highway and is difficult to miss in plain sight on the roadside from a moving vehicle in normal traffic. Easily accessible. Detailed description and maps for reserve are provided over the boards near entrance. Well maintained. Clean and obstacle free walkways. Waitangi waterfall is the smaller waterfall in the reserve. Seating and benches are provided at regular distances around the reserve for taking rest and enjoying the views. Good place for quick visit or a leisure walk on a clear day. The reserve is dog friendly. A good place to do a get-together or organise a picnic on a clear day. Spacious parking area is available around the entrance. Dedicated wheelchair parking is not available and entrance is not wheelchair accessible. Public restroom is available near parking space.

Oluka Dushyantha

This is located in Omeru Scenic Reserve. There is about 20 min walk from the reserve entrance in side the bush. At the end of the walk, there is a deep descend & you have to use the rope to reach the bottom of the water fall. It's kind of rope climb. Be careful if you are with kids. But at the end of the journey, you will see this beautiful waterfall. Watch out the muddy floor.
