The food is pretty good but the service and management is very rude.

We as loyal customers, feel really disappointed about the service and management. We recommended our friends to go there for a birthday outing. I made a booking for 10 people with a baby. Firstly when we went there , there weren’t enough chairs setup for us or the kids. Secondly the service was very unfriendly. They made us order our own food.We ordered for 24 lamb and 20 beef skewers for ten of us which means we can only get two skewers each with the potion being small. When we wanted to order more the owner refused to serve anymore even though they had back up at the back. We were told those skewers are reserved for customers later as they were afraid they would run of out skewers. There were no signs to say the limited order. When we tired to talk nicely with owner she just tucked it up. This is not how you do the hospitality service. Usually if they have confirmed the number of reserved customers they should prepare enough rather than have this excuse. Not recommended

Eventually, we have a seat after 4 times visiting. Well, this place provides charcoal BBQ lamb kebab with salt chilli cumen. The kebabs missed some tasty favor may be too much salt, and some meat were over cooked and burned. Sea weeds cold dish is pretty tasty. Meanwhile, hygiene grade A is up to dated. Staffs are fast and friendly. There are a lot of parkings available. Reserve a table is highly recommended.

I actually especially drove here to experience this little eatery all the way from Auckland CBD. Guess my inner foodie didn't like to factor in the explosive petrol prices. However, being a foodie, there nowhere I wouldn't go to experience a novel taste! While parking up and peering onto the signage I couldn't help but feel like this is going to be a really authentic Chinese establishment. Indeed I don't think I was wrong. Walking into the restaurant, it appeared dim, rather gloomy, can be fairly described as got a dirty aura to it, almost like a Communist-era China worker's restaurant. However, I really don't mind that! Hearty food, intimate authenticity, and good value is really what floats my boat. Barack Obama and Anthony Bourdain didn't dine in a hole-in-the-wall place in the middle of buzzy Hanoi for no reason. (RIP AB) The portions given on these barbeque skewers were the biggest I've come across in Auckland, by far. So I definitely would say they are good value for money. The other dishes we ordered were quite nice too. We ordered 20 skewers and they were definitely filling and I felt like I was able to munch into it with my whole mouth instead of using my teeth to graze off little tiny bits of meat like in a lot of other BBQ establishments in Auckland. I probably wouldn't spend a month's Netflix subscription money to drive this far to have BBQ skewers again, but if you are in the area, do check it out! I really don't feel like you'd regret it, though you may not end up becoming a regular customer.
