Good spot. But the foreshore has been filled in by the washout from a large slip on the dart river so swimming is not attractive. And Doc have devastated the site with cutting the willows and heavy spraying of herbicide as usual.

One of the most beautiful campsites I have visited ️
Hidden gem of a campsite. Not many people there and the most amazing views. Driving down the dirt track till you come across a lodge and it’s right on the lake there where the river dart enters. Jet boats come flying past and there is a strong current so best not to swim there. Well worth the drive and 13 a night camping

Know before you go... Showers are a ridiculous 10 per person at the lodge. That makes it 23 per person here if you would like to shower, and it's just not worth it. In nearby Glenorchy, the campsite charges 40 for 2 people and has 1 coin operated showers, hence works out cheaper AND is in a better location with other facilities included too. No need to support idiotic pricing or rude staff at the lodge here. If you don't require the use of the shower, there are other nicer DOC sites in the area. This one is riddled with sand flies and the toilets are unpleasant. My humble advice - stay away from this one :)
