To say we were impressed is an understatement! Quiet and relaxing with the most beautiful room and grounds! Elegant and comfortable furnishings and a lovely cooked breakfast. I am already planning our next night away! I really think this would be a wonderful place for Wedding Photos Cathy and Grant! Thank you so much for our wonderful night!
I visited the Silverstream Lodge with a friend from New Zealand. This lodge is like an oasis that seems unreal. The warm family feel and welcome from the owner Cathy makes your heart melt. The homemade cooking was most welcome from usual restaurant dining. The place is divine and hard to describe how lovely it looks. The dogs are especially friendly and contribute to that home feeling you have when staying. It is almost worth visiting as a tourist attraction rather than as a place for staying.

True kiwi friendliness. the most amazing country setting only 20 mins from Christchurch CBD, the stunning elegant white swans - really! Huge oak trees, willows draping into the river, ducks and peacocks wandering across the lawn... Heaven
