Looked like a nice place to stop for a beer and a bowl of chips. I was wrong. Riddle with flys. Disgusting. Hate to think what the kitchen was like. And waited 40mins for a bowl of chips that ever came only to be told that husband had given them to someone else. Would I go back. NO

Sorry for the badly timed photo. How to start with this cool little Tavern. The owner and staff are wonderful. Absolutely lovely warm and welcoming. We felt at home right off the bat and like a well seasoned local. The hot coffee and vegan lemon cake was a fantastic little start on a cold wet day. We chilled in the restaurant/bar on the rustic style furnishings. Listen to chil beats before ordering lunch. We got the open steak and chicken sandwich that where fantastic from start to finish. We will absolutely be back especially for the market days and music festivals to come. Thank you everyone at the Queen Charlotte Tavern for your warm hospitality.

Rode our bikes here from Momorangi. Friendly Chef and great atmosphere. I had the Beef Burger and wife had the whitebait fritter. Beaut meals and lots of shaded areas outside to sit.

Nice quiet stop on way around top of north. Lovely lunch the other day (great pasta of day for me and toasted panini for the other one!). Went back today and had a pint in front of some live music. Hope the rest of the NYE bash goes well

Great service and very friendly staff. Nice fish and a very good portion. It's a thumbs up for me. The beer wasn't too bad either.
