This was my first foray into self-publishing, and as such I came to it with the uncertainties of a tyro with respect to process and outcome. To name a few: what was involved, how would the working relationship pan out, how would things be coordinated with the editor/designer and printer, and how would the shipping process be best handled, since the order had to shipped to the US from New Zealand? The entire experience with Briar has been superlative and I am delighted with the result. Her experience, skill, efficiency and constructive suggestions are much appreciated, as are her observations related to many little, yet important, details like lettering, choice of color, presentation of large genealogical charts and handling the somewhat challenging cover content. And last but not least, her promptness in responding to my emails and delivering the finished product deserves appropriate plaudits. I would unhesitatingly call on Briar when it comes time for my next book.

vBook: Briar oversaw the publishing of an artistically-designed family history book of 327 pages with end notes, a bibliography and an index. This included full book design, chapter motifs, and detailed maps and complex genealogy charts which she redrew from rough sketches. Interspersed throughout the text were about 200 photos, some of which were very old and needed enhancing. A superb, colourful cover, designed from composite photos, completed the book. We were all very happy with the finished product. Briar consulted us at every stage of the production and we were glad to take her helpful advice from her years of experience. Produced a great cover for a book I wrote Designed and produced a layout for printing. The end result was fantastic. The price was very good, particularly as there was some too-ing and frow-ing over various issues. Got some excellent advice. Turn round time was efficient. I am completely satisfied and would use them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for someone to prepare their book for printing. Sean
Briar worked on a complex 300pp scientific book of mine with many diagrams, footnotes and an index. She designed a very good cover and found a good economic printer. This book had originally been published in the USA and the publishers did a poor job on the diagrams even on a second pass after my protest. Briar’s work on the figures and general presentation was 10 times more professional. She also converted the printed edition to a kindle e-book – which is difficult to do for complex books - and created digital pdf and epub versions for my website - both with live indices. Book: Briar gave me wonderful support & encouragement while I was writing my first book. She helped me enormously with the editing process by patiently guiding me but not overriding me.
