I was really impressed with the staff here! The Optometrist and other staff were really informative but also very friendly and helpful and welcoming. They even followed up after getting my glasses to check in that everything was ok. At nearly 40 it was my first experience needing to get glasses (only for reading) but was blown away by ALL of the team at OPSM Queensgate. I would most definitely recommend this place ️

Booked online for 2PM, received an email confirmation showing the exact date and time that I’ve booked. Only to find out when I went to the store that I was booked for 1:40PM and that nobody is available for eye exam. What a waste of time. Make sure you confirm before going.

We had a terrible experience at the OPSM after visiting their Lower Hutt branch yesterday. My wife went there to check the contact lens suitability for our daughter. They gave us the appointment with the optometrist and the receptionist told us there won’t be any charge for the consultation. After the consultation, they were trying to give us the quotes for the specs and contact lenses and they said we have to order the specs now or pay for the consultation fees. When my wife said she wants to phone and check with me before ordering anything. The staff there I think it’s the shop manager said you cannot leave the shop without paying. They kind of very rude and unprofessional. The main point is that my wife didn’t even say that she won’t pay. She was in the shop with an infant baby and our 9-year-old daughter. It was one of the worst customer services. We never recommend the OPSM Lower Hutt branch to anyone. They were kind of cunning and looks like a hidden charge. The receptionist lady apologies and accepted that it’s her fault that she says there won’t be any fees for the appointment. But her manager’s customer service was terrible.
