Nice meal, price up there but ok, cater for gluten free quite good. However the waiting staff We had was one star, no blackboard specials were told to us, no table water offered to us at all, had to ask for glass for bottled beer, asked for people's order from the corner of table there were 8 of us. Served us on the wrong side, your wait staff needs serious retraining.

Speight’s Ale House was humming with a full house on Thursday night so we ate at the bar leaners. The food is always good here and tonight the service was equally great. The Ranfurly pork ribs are so tender that the meat falls off the bone. The BBQ glaze is sweet and the dish came with a mountain of shoestring fries. The black cherry chicken was juicy and tender, served on colcannon mash. Speight’s Petone is easily our favourite venue for hearty pub food.

Awesome.place for a good meal. Turned up late hoping for a meal and staff were more than happy to cook when they had already started cleaning for the night. Highly recommend

An amazing, delicious steak dinner..if u like med rare/rare, which we do! . Onion rings were a nice touch. Thought the maple might be abit sweet but hubby loved it. And of course his tomahawk steak! Compliments to the Chef and all the team!! Will def recommend. Sori this was in Palmerston North, pushed the wrong button!

Had the bacon cheeseburger. It was excellent. Starters were tasty. Service was first class. Portions were generous - as per their slogan. Really good vibe. We will be back!

Went for dinner. Meal well worth the experience. Steak cooked to oerfection-rare. The place was packed but the meal arrived in 15mins! Awesome place for an excellent steak.

Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. Food had decent flavour. Enjoyed my drinks. Overall I would return here again to maybe try some other menu items.
