Dominion Park St had street lighting issues for months. WCC gave me the 'Incident', number for Wellington Electricity Lines Ltd and I spoke to a customer services bloke who said he'd look into it for me. The lights were on in a matter of days! Thanks Wellington Electricity Lines

Absolutely hopeless, had a power outage for 11 hours now and one of my neighbors was asking one of your guys earlier what happened and when can it be fixed, the guy just laughed and he said he doesn't know. This is not a laughing matter. One of my neighbor is an elderly lady now living in the dark by herself. You guys need to be a bit more professional.

The most hopeless place to deal with. Do not answer the phone, if you do get through, the operators will not connect you with anyone, but want to email them and ask them to call you back. Guess what, you never hear from them again. And they have the audacity to invoice before they actually do any work. Unbelievable. Needs a total restructure.

My housing Company builds homes all over Wellington and have no choice but to commission the services of WE for the connection of a new power pillar for our clients homes. When we request a quote for a new power connection WE demand 'full payment' to be deposited before doing any work. The last 3 recent connections I have paid for in full have dragged on for many weeks, in one case 4 months, before they arrive to actually complete the works which never takes two linesman more than 2 days to complete, and typically in the range of 6,500 - 8,000.00!! I don't know any other business that can demand such outlandish sums upfront, without providing the customer anything in return until many weeks/months later on when someone finally arrives to do the work. Five weeks ago I deposited close to 7,000.00 to WE for a new connection and they have only just recently emailed me to ask when we will be paying the account?? After I informed them the account had been paid over a month ago they came back to me and apologised with some ridiculous excuse that the money we paid had shown up as another account holder?? More delays for my business and our clients can't move into their new home, while WE bank account earns the interest on our money for many weeks and months for no service.. Not happy at all, and it's high time this large service provider were taken to task by the Commerce Commission.

Shocking service. I have been spoken to like rubbish, extorted held to ransom. And told I can get a generator if I wish. Myfirst quote for power connection was 21000.00 (only took them 1 month to get back to me) today they admitted fault and lack of communication and offer 10000-00 for connection. I have power at driveway but 11kv medium voltage needs a transformer. I am horrified by this and the fact that at the end of the day. They own it.
