Overall great hotel to stay at when doing the Tongariro Crossing! Great friendly staff, good amenities such as a sauna, gym, spa pool and more. However I would suggest the communial kitchen should be increased in size or another kitchen added on as it can get very busy at peak times. Its a bonus that there is a restaurant on site. Check out my pictures for the current menu incl pricing. I would gladly recommend anyone to stay here when visiting Tongariro or during the snow season.

Wonderful place to stay!! Beautiful view from my nice and clean room! Confortable mattress. I really appreciated the solid conditioner and shampoo! (Great for the planet ). All employees was very sympathique! Super customer services! Delicious, cheap and Vegan option ! Place to be after a long track !\u200d️
Perfectly adequate for our two night stay. Comfortable bedding, good restaurant and bar/lounge area. Friendly helpful staff.
Fantastic location to Whakapapa. Enjoyed our stay here. Room decor a little old school, but we didn't mind. The shower pressure amazing! Handy having a restaurant and bar down the hallway making it easy to eat, drink, unwind and relax after a day on the mountain. Had issues with my newly purchased snowboard bindings and the staff at the hire shop were more than helpful adjusting it to suit me. Make sure you book the spa before you hit the slopes.
Fantastic place to stay we had a the backpackers room which we find ideal for us It was warm and comfortable This place has amazing views the staff and owners were great the food was great as well couldn’t fault a thing
Great location and nice place to stay. Nothing too fancy (I.e. dated) but everything was clean and functional. If you look at the pictures on the website, it's a fair representation as to what to expect. It was nice having a restaurant and bar in the hotel. We'll probably stay here again come ski season.
After my long drive with my family, when I arrived in motel there was no one in reception. I went on searching staff in restaurant and bar for more than 5 minute and then finally a guy sitting nearby the bar who was busy chatting to a guy asked me if I had a booking. The customer service is not very good. The staff are not very friendly. I had paid 185 for the room which was down in the corner nearby the staff room. Kids bunk had horrible squeaky noise. Moreover, there was scary big dead spider in bathtub to welcome us. My kids were really scared. The food are okay, I had ordered fish and chips, Chicken Schnitzel and waiheke ice-cream which cost me 85 bucks not worth I think. Apart from that all good.
Great place to stay within Tongariro National Park. Prices are reasonable and the amenities are good. They have a game room and a mezzanine floor for the kids. Staff are friendly and helpful with organising any tours around the place. The walls are a bit thin between the rooms however. The attached restaurant is decent. Makes a mean Kumara fries, so definitely have that if you're dining.
