Spent the long weekend at Awastone with the caravan and what an enjoyable time we had. Great value for money, very clean bathrooms, grounds and atmosphere. A must to go rafting as this was a real highlight for us. Definitely worth stopping and checking out. Thanks guys

What a beautiful spot in the world, so peaceful, you can sit by the river, have swim, go for a raft or just go to the lovely restaurant on site and have the best food out. Awesome menu that caters fir all food types and adaptable for food allergy people. Recommend the place.

Hate to share this place for it's beauty and tranquility. Situated up close of the cliff faces of the river and clear sparkling waters of the mighty river. Lunch was excellent as was the service. Has everything for those that enjoy the great outdoors. Will be back. R4

A quiet and peaceful site in a truly spectacular riverside setting. Beautifully clean with a great cafe and bar and obviously run with care and attention to detail. Highly recommended as a restful stop over near Highway 1.

Nice campground on Hunterville side of river (there are two camping areas, one by river, one by cafe n bar...). Camp by river has lovely trees, easy access, basic facilities and is peaceful. Price is fair given lack of amenities. Shower is 3 so buy token at office. Would definitely stay again.

As well as rafting beween magnificent and endless canyons, playing in the river just in front of the lodge and the campfire by the river also became unforgettable memories of the family. All the staff, including the guide, manager and reception, were so kind. l look forward to seeing you again on my next holiday.

There’s sort of two parts to Awastone- there’s the no dog side and the dogs ok side. We can’t comment on the no dogs side. The dog friendly side is currently on the southern side of the bridge. It’s great. We parked the motorhome 50m from the water, with a view of the river. No power down that close. The power on this side of the river is only back up track near the outbuildings. We would definitely stay again
