Booked but had to leave . We booked to have a wine tasting here for 2pm , got there 10 minutes early. We eventually got one wine ( Rose) at 2:50pm. Was not the best wine , waited and waited for the next one but never came , eventually left and went to Poppies and bought 520 of fantastic wine . I cannot comment on their wine , the rosé was not great but I’m not a rosé drinker. Won’t go back there again as the service was so bad .

Wonderful service and the tables outside were great with the good weather. Each wine from the selection for tasting was beautiful. I recommend it.
We had such a great time at Haythornthwaite that we came straight back the next day. Anna was our server and she was fantastic. Mark also came and sat down with us to talk us through a lot of history of their wine as well as NZ wine overall. The wines were absolutely delicious and so was the baked brie and crostini. By far our favourite visit we've had in Martinborough to date!
Super friendly people and nice wines!
Don't be deceived by the unassuming entrance and tasting room that looks like a personal office. The wines we had here were delicious and reasonably priced! As a small operation, the owner served us himself and shared his wealth of knowledge. Wonderful experience! They also have homemade jams and olive oil available for purchase.
Lovely friendly staff. We ordered two whites and decided to try two reds as the wine was so good. We ordered a platter and it was huge! More than enough for 2 people. The homemade chutney was amazing. Worth a visit. The outdoor area is perfect for relaxing.
Very nice homely place to visit. Friendly service. Fantastic food platters - good value for money. We got a half one for two because they’re so big.
