Highest quality axes and saws and also their customer service is second to none. Stu is exceptional at making sure everything is exactly how you want it and goes out of his way to ensure you are a happy customer! A bloody legend as we say around these parts.

Tuatahi has exceptional products and brilliant service. Thoroughly recommended. I purchased a work axe for myself, throwing axes for my daughter, and a chinese axe head as a back up. (Throwing axes have been ground to double for decent chopping as there was no camping axe option when I purchased). Communication from Stu was easy and straight foward and I was kept in the loop the whole time. Axes are hand forged and beautifully crafted from heads down to the axe handles. Even the chinese racing axe head was far better quality than expected (and I regret not purchasing a couple more when they were on special as gifts). I purchased all my axes on special and compared to what I could buy overseas for the similar price (or even second hand on trade me) I think the Tuatahi axes are an absolute bargain. I will certainly be buying some more of their items in the near future, particularly a saw and their new camping axe which looks as handy as a half axe while still apparently having significant chopping ability.

I bought one of the Training axes a few years ago, this thing is a LASER through wood, outstanding! Thanks a ton! In the woods I feel comfortable leaving the chsinsaw behind if I have mine on me. Practically, this is great! The only suggestion I would make is in reference to the handle. The hickory handle I recieved was too thin just beneath the head, and it looks to be the same on all axes at Tuatahi according to their photos. I had it break in half about 6 inches beneath the head while competing. Rehandled with a thicker handle, and its good to go now. No biggie, just a thought. Thanks Tuatahi for an amazing product! This one of my most prized tools! Terence from Washington State USA.
