Came here for my sons birthday, would probably not recommend going on a Sunday as they didn't have many choices of non-alcoholic drinks (I feel they had a big Saturday night) but moving on, to the dumplings we ordered 1 of each except the vegetarian option. They were tasty but I felt without the toppings they would have been average we also got the loaded fries I was wondering what the loaded part was as they only had spring onions, onion flakes & Sriracha mayo???? Love the spot though..

What a great wee spot on Ponsonby Road!! It's all outdoors giving it the 'garden' feel and heaters are on full blast in the evening so no worries there. Dumplings are divine and there is a very good, small selection of beers and cider. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Will be back for sure.

The dumplings were super tasty, but a bit overpriced though 15 for 5 dumplings. Also ordered two cocktails, that I never received. After half an hour of sitting there and finishing the dumplings I decided to go ask for a refund on the cocktails, they didn't even know how to do that. Supposedly they couldn't refund my money back onto my card so they had to give me cash, but they tried to give me a 20 note and the rest in 20c coins. They kept apologizing and saying it had been a hectic night, but it wasn't even busy the whole time when we were there. What a joke! Seriously! Get your people trained up, this is Ponsonby.
Absolutely terrible ! Extremely rude staff with next to no interpersonal skills. Came here on my birthday expecting a good time. I was told there was no cocktails upon asking only to look at the menu and see otherwise. Atmosphere had potential but was destroyed by arrogance and the worst music I’d ever heard. We came here to sit upstairs only to be told we weren’t allowed, following that they allowed other customers that asked go sit up there. Table was covered in muck and hadn’t been cleared and continued not to be throughout our drink here. Extremely disappointed as we had planned ahead to come here and were greatly disappointed. Staff were pulling faces and loudly badmouthing us to other customers for no apparent reason, it was our first drink of the night. An extremely unprofessional way to treat paying customers. A ‘friend’ of the bar staff informed us we were being treated this way because of my partners haircut ?! lol Staff realised I was upset and tried to rectify the situation by giving me a free shot of alcohol but still couldn’t refrain from pulling sour faces at each other. DO NOT COME HERE ! Not interest in being offered a better experience from the bar, only reviewing to let others know not to waste their money or ruin their night by coming here.
Highly recommend the bottomless dumplings on a Wednesday night! So delicious! The staff are cool too and it’s an awesome space. One of my faves!
