Hands down the very best shopping experience I've ever had. My daughter found the perfect dress and could not be happier. If you've got a special event, I'd recommend you go to Modes first (you won't need to go anywhere else). Huge selection of dresses and accessories, plus amazing and helpful staff.

We were visiting Auckland from Nelson and my wife had a mission: find the perfect cocktail dress for our friends' party in Wellington (a 100th: she 49, him 51). We were in our friends' bridal party back in the day so wanted to put in an effort. After looking around various shops in Auckland, someone said we should go to Modes. We are so pleased we did, Jackie gracefully and expertly provided a range of dresses for my wife to try. This is despite the fact we had no prior booking and the shop was busy. Pretty much the first dress tried on was the winner; and my wife went on to get many compliments at the party. First shop we went to, already fell in love with a dress!! We ended up going to another store just take another look which was a mistake so the size of the dress we wanted was gone so we had to get a larger dress. Luckily they have Angela to ulter it and now we have a beautiful dress for ball!!! Sara helped us and found the perfect dress, we were under so much stress but luckily Sara helped!
