Highly recommend! I've stayed at this hostel for a long, long time and never had any complaints. It has the best kitchen I've seen in a hostel and they make a real effort to keep it clean. Showers are in good condition as well and so are the rooms. Your stay highly depends on the other people in the hostel as the walls are quite thin and loud voices can be heard through them. If you're in the Tasman area, this place will be your best shout. Huge outside area, small gym (equipment), a lovely manager. 5/5 from me!!

The people who stayed at the Hostel made my time really good, but I cannot say the same from the owners. The facilities are always dirty, bathrooms, kitchen, especially rooms, I always vacuumed and did my bed by myself every week in the room and also put rubbish bag and fragance because they never doing them work. Everytime I ask for cleaning my room, I had to do it by myself. They don't know how to manage a hostel. They also don't allow people who stayed before in the accommodation to visit us after they left. The owner should be nicer to customers

I had a great time staying here. The kitchen is the best I have had in a Kiwi hostel and everything is very clean. The showers were hot and in good condition and the outside covered area awesome on a rainy day. I still dont know who I lost to at barrel chess. Thanks Kelly. We loved it!!!

Stayed 4 nights in summer, our room had many bedbugs and we were eaten all nights by these little vampires. Reported the issue to the manager and they promptly tried to fix it. I cancelled my last night because of the issue and they reinbource me the money. My room was in front of laundry and women's toilet so I heard people closing doors , talking, partying all night!! the hostel is not isolated so it would be very noizy and you cannot rest well. Staff, Kitchen and toilets were Ok tho.
Is a great place with a lot of facilities , we went like a family with little kids and it was a very nice experience for us. The kids can do a lot of activities in the free time . The owner she is very nice and kind and all the team is always willing to help you. You can find showers with hot water, a comfortable bathroom, the team work hard to keep the place nice clean and tidy, even when some backpackers are very untidy and not very clean persons, also the rooms are very clean and tidy, the kitchen is very big and you can find anything that you need to cook . The kids was happy jumping in the trampoline at the kids's area . Is a great place to have a bbq with friends and stay for the Hollidays. Comfortable area to share and rest. I saw the rest of the comments and many people said is noise ... but this problem doesn't depend of the place. Sometimes can be noise because the people don't respect the silence times. Maybe is good idea to put a bigger advertisement about the silence times and to respect the sleep of the rest of the people in red color hahahaha. But unfortunately this depend of the culture of evey one. Any way the owner and the team is very able to help with that as well. Definitely recommend and we hope to comeback next summer Thanks so much Happy apple for this nice experience. Awesome place with a cool atmosphere! Nice outdoor and indoor common area with free pool, darts, xbox, volleyball and TV. Decent laundry facilities and bathrooms. Kitchen is spacious and clean. We stayed in a van, but with full use of the facilities for 40 - really great value compared to 45 for a DOC camp-site with no facilities at all. Owner was really nice and relaxed - made for a great welcome to Motueka. Highly recommend!
